The Working Interview is an opportunity for both the Employee and the Client
to come together in an atmosphere whereby each party can see if there is
a fit. The Recruiting and Screening phase is complete, and the parties are
now working together. A full time job offer and acceptance is contingent
upon the satisfaction of both parties. Typically the Working Interview will
last 10-12 weeks, much like the Temp to Hire programs made popular in our
industry.
The Employee has the
opportunity to "try on" the job while the Client has the opportunity
to make sure a "fit" has occurred. This program allows both
parties certain luxuries. The Employee does not endanger his work history
with what would appear to be job hopping, as the Employer of Record (SAl)
may offer several opportunities, remaining the only employer who must
be reported to.
The Employer is spared
the risk of hiring someone who has not had an opportunity to "test
the waters". Our experience shows that countless hours putting together
employment files, benefits applications and various other responsibilities
can be alleviated until both parties have a better idea of what they are
committing to. Retention is much higher and turnover (which statistics
indicate tends to take place in the earlier days of the relationship)
can be avoided all together. Commitment from both parties is made under
circumstances that allow for a more positive relationship.
